 I have a strong desire to pursue a full time position as a Broadcast Journalist.
Over the course of the last four years, I have worked hard to accumulate as much industry experience that my university schedule would allow.
I have learned to be successful that I must set definitive goals and work diligently until those goals are accomplished. I am a self-starter and my critical thinking skills along with my work ethic have proven to be key success factors throughout the beginning of my young career.
I have learned to work very efficiently both as an individual and as a key contributor of any team. I have learned first hand the necessity of working effectively within any team-based environment through my internship at E! Networks. E! Networks afforded me the opportunity to work in a fast paced, high intensity, deadline driven environment both as an individual and within a team-based environment.
While interning for the Daily 10, I developed a strategic work ethic that allowed me to budget my time in order to meet the assigned deadlines. If the deadline was noticeably challenging from the onset, I would spend my time posing questions to senior management during the business day and would allow for several hours after work to continue pushing forward on assigned task.
I have also worked at various levels in the entertainment industry over the course of the last two years while concurrently attending CSUN full time. As you can see from my resume, I have also gained valuable industry experience as a producer at 88.5 FM KCSN, an editorial team member at Valley View News, and as a producer/host at On Point Cable Talk Show. While I’m passionate about every aspect of journalism, I feel I am best suited for an on-air anchor/reporter position.
My current employment with AEG for the Los Angeles Kings NHL team has put me in the public spotlight while performing on ice at home games, conducting live contests with fans, hosting charity events and interacting with the Los Angeles community.
I am confident that my Broadcast Journalism degree, along with my years of entertainment industry experience, makes me an excellent candidate for your station.
